At my very first performance at the George Washington University, I will share the stage with pianist Malinee Peris in a program that explores the two pianos on the stage at the Hammer Auditorium in the Corcoran School for Arts and Design. Music by Mozart, Debussy, Ligeti, Murail, and Kurtág.

October 19-22, 2016 Contemporary Music Festival @ U of Tennessee
University of Tennessee, Knoxville presents its second annual Contemporary Music Festival to be held October 19-22, 2016. Yarn/Wire will share concerts, presentations, lectures, and masterclasses with students and the public. We will also present a new work commissioned by the festival composer Travis Weller. Yarn/Wire travels to Chicago for an evening of premieres by Chicago-based composer Olivia Block, and long-time collaborator, Aaron Einbond. This program will explore the boundaries between sound installations and performance practice through these newly commissioned works.

Music by Camille Saint-Saëns, with poetry by Ogden Nash - Miller’s holiday “salute to feathers, fur, and fins” is back! Bring your friends and family and join us for a reinvigorated version of Lake Simons’ imaginative Carnival. Watch as everyday objects take on new lives as lions, elephants, and birds, through the incredible work of our puppeteers. Hear top-notch musical performances by some of the city’s best players. It’s an experience that’s sure to delight imaginative audiences of all ages!
